From the Knik Arm Courier, March 30, 1960:

Models and clothes from Chugiak were well in evidence at the Beta Sigma Phi Style Show held in Palmer last Saturday.

The show, which was held at the Swanson School, had this year as its theme the clothes a fictitious family would need to a trip to the “outside.”

Mary Rowley acted as commentator and described the garments that would be appropriate for every conceivable occasion on a trip to the south 48.

From Lorraine’s Dept. Store, Miss Vicki Johnson and Miss Linda Henriches modeled the styles for the teens, which Nancy Long and Johnny Johnson appeared in Easter outfits and Western clothes.

Garments from the Minnesota Woolen Co., sold in this area by Eulalia Davis of Eagle River, were modeled by Mrs. Virgil Flint, Mrs. Charles Harriman and Miss Jeannie Flint assisted by Miss Judy Davis and Mrs. Jim Polyefko.

Garments from Palmer stores made up the remainder of the show.

Mary Rowley took the role of an information clerk telling this family which clothes they would be needing for their trip.
