APD Investigation Results in Drug Seizures and Arrests
Anchorage Police Officers in the Special Assignment Unit completed a successful drug investigation resulting in a large seizure of illegal drugs and the arrests of two involved citizens early in the morning of March 21.
With the assistance of the Community Action Policing team, Adult Probations, and the K9 Unit, officers in the Special Assignment Unit seized approximately 130 grams of methamphetamine and nearly 50 grams of heroin during a drug investigation at a residence located on the 6000 block of Askeland Drive in South Anchorage.
The combined street value of the seized drugs is approximately $30,000.
Two subjects were arrested as a result of the investigation, 48-year-old Robert Hoffman and 47-year-old Kayla Pusich.
Hoffman was charged with one count of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance(MICS) in the second degree, two counts of MICS in the third degree, one count of MICS in the fourth degree, and Misconduct Involving Weapons in the third degree.
Pusich was charged with hindering prosecution.
The charge against Pusich was later dismissed.
