Journeyman injured on Eklutna line
A Northern Powerline Constructors journeyman lineman was injured on Wednesday, April 30, while working on a project for Matanuska Electric Association.
According to a press release issued by Northern Powerline Constructors, the employee sustained electrical shock injuries at approximately 2:45 p.m.
“The worker was injured in an accident while working on the Eklutna Hydroelectric Transmission Line. We are happy to report the worker’s condition continues to improve. He is recovering well and is planning on being released from the hospital today,” reports Jason Hodges, Northern Powerline Constructors vice president and spokesperson.
Northern Powerline Constructors is conducting an investigation on the incident.
