Police Blotter - May 22 to June 4, 2016
Vandalism—Police responded to a report of vandalism, the caller’s foster child had taken an ax to a boat at 10300 Lieselotte, Eagle River.
Trespass—Caller said a man, who may have been intoxicated, wandered into their home, but was gone by the time police arrived. The report came from the block of 21000 Bill Stephens, Eagle River.
Assault—An altercation between a husband and wife was reported in the 12400 block of Lake, Eagle River. Police responded, no arrests were made.
Harassment—A caller from Eagle River reported someone was making harassing and disparaging remarks about them on Facebook and other social media.
Burglary—Unknown individuals broken into a doctor’s office in the 16900 block of N. Eagle River Loop, Eagle River. The suspects broke through the back window and went out the front door.
Accident—Driver reported that they had hit a street sign on the 11000 block Old Glenn Highway, Eagle River.
Burglary–- Unknown suspects hopped a fence and broken into a shed owned by the municipality of Anchorage, near the 8500 Hesterberg, Eagle River
DUI—Caller reported two women had been fighting and had alcohol in their possession, followed by further reports of the same two women in an altercation in the Three Bears parking. Police arrested Amanda Stoltze, 25, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of Margaret Mielke St and Stoltze Drive in Chugiak.
Assault with a weapon—Police responded to an altercation in the 23300 block of Glenn in Chugiak. Two neighbors were reportedly disputing over money and someone brandished a gun during the dispute. No arrests were made.
DUI—An officer conducted a traffic stop at the 16300 block of Artillery in Eagle River; and subsequently arrested Wesley Rabung, 24, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
DUI— An officer conducted a traffic stop at the 8400 block E. Eagle River Loop in Eagle River; and subsequently arrested Christopher Tucker, 28 on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Tucker was also charged with being in possession of a firearm, misconduct regarding a control-4 substance.
DUI— Caller reported someone driving poorly and not able to stay in the lane. Officers pulled over and arrested Timothy Reid, 34, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at the 27400 block of Birchwood Loop Road in Chugiak. Reid was also charged with having no proof of insurance.
Assault—Police responded to a report of an altercation between a male and female couple in the parking lot of Carrs. Brittany Caudle, 26 was arrested on suspicion of assault and family violence because there was a child present.
DUI—Police responded to a report of a rolled-over vehicle the Hiland Exit and Eagle River Loop Road. Jonathan Sass, 26 was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Theft—Callers reported someone had rummaged through a vehicle parked at their house at the 17200 block of Hideaway Ridge, Eagle River.
DUI—Caller reported a blue Ford truck was repeatedly hitting the curb, speeding at about 50 mph, and almost a bicyclist and other vehicles at the 13400 block of Old Glenn Highway, Eagle River. Officers pulled the truck over at S. Moosewood Loop and Birch Berry, where the driver had reportedly taken out mailbox. Cynthia Strous, 56, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident.
Burglary—A business was burglarized at the 11700 block of Business, Eagle River.
DUI—Caller reported a driver was trying to pass on the shoulder of the road, nearly hitting a parked vehicle and speeding. Police found the vehicle had rolled ½ mile before the Fort Rich Exit on Glenn Highway. Christopher Leonard, 56, arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol
DUI—Caller reported a black Honda Accord was driving in the bike trail underneath the bridge of North Eagle, in Eagle River. William Kerst, 35, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
