Tuesday, June 5, 2018 - 10:58

On May 29 at around 4:23 p.m., an APD officer stopped a Jeep Liberty on Business Boulevard in Eagle River after allegedly watching the driver get out of the vehicle while it was still in gear and in traffic. Upon investigation, the officer determined driver Peggi A. Pizzino, 36, of Eagle River had been in an argument with her wife, who grabbed the steering wheel in an attempt to pull the vehicle over. Pizzino allegedly bit the other woman on the arm, which police said caused a visible injury but did not require medical attention.

Pizzino was arrested and charged with domestic violence assault.
