Chugiak Legion baseball team bashes Bartlett in advance of BP tourney

Chugiak Post 33 continued to stay near the top of the Alaska American Legion Baseball standings with a 15-0 thrashing of Bartlett on Sunday, July 1. The win improved the Mustangs to 7-3 in the league and 10-6 overall, good enough for second-place in the ALB’s National Division.

Chugiak will play in the annual BP Tournament starting July 5 at Mulcahy Stadium at 5 p.m. against South.

Through the end of June, Eagle River was in fourth place in the division with a 4-5 league record and 8-11 overall mark. The Wolves dropped four straight June 28-July 1 at the Todd Ryan Tournament in Wasilla.
