Anchorge police responded to a report of a gun-related road rage incident Sunday on the Glenn Highway.

According to APD, at around 8:34 p.m., a woman told police that a man in a red Chevy S10 pickup waved a handgun at her and her boyfriend while they were in traffic on the busy highway between Anchorage and Eagle River.

Police said the couple were reportedly driving on the Glenn when the pickup got close behind them. The boyfriend reportedly told police he put his arm out the window and waved for the Chevy to go by, but the pickup didn’t pass so he “flipped off” the driver.

Police said the driver of the Chevy responded to the obscene gesture by pulling out a handgun and pointing it at the man and woman before driving off.

A case is pending, police said.
