Hockey player from Eagle River wins Tier I national championship
Eagle River’s Karsten Senden notched an assist to help the Little Caesars 15-only team to a Chipotle-USA Hockey Tier I national championship Monday in Detroit.
Senden assisted on the first goal of the game as Little Caesars rolled to a 4-0 win over fellow Michigan squad the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies. Tier I is the highest level of USA Hockey’s three-tiered amateur hockey system.
Senden attends Seaholm High in Detroit and is the son of Eagle River’s Kristi and Kirby Senden.
