For the third time since March, police have responded to a threat at Mirror Lake Middle School in Chugiak.

According to the Anchorage Police Department, a school resource officer assigned to the school was told by school staff on Tuesday afternoon there was a threat written on the wall in a boys’ bathroom.

“SRO’s responded, took the student into custody, and released him to his parents,” police wrote in an online Nixle alert about the incident, which went on to note charges have been forwarded to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

In March, police said they investigated “a potential non-specific threat” after someone told police they’d seen a threatening message on Instagram.

In April, a girl was arrested after allegedly writing a threat on a bathroom wall at the school.
