The Chugiak-Eagle River Library will reopen for normal business hours on Tuesday, June 11.

The library has been closed since May 10, when the Eagle River Town Center Building was deemed unsafe due to the discovery of damage caused by the Nov. 30, 2018 earthquake. The building was declared safe by the State Fire Marshal last week, but library staff needed the weekend to get the space prepared.

The library made the announcement about its reopening date on Facebook.

The library’s hours are noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and closed Sundays and Mondays.
