Four men have been charged with kidnapping and repeatedly raping a 17-year-old homeless girl at an apartment in Eagle River.

According to APD, the four allegedly forced the girl to drink alcohol and took turns assaulting her at an apartment above the Eagle River Liquor Store in March.

According to police spokeswoman Dani Myren, three of the four have local addresses. Charged with a variety of crimes in the alleged incident were Eagle River’s Ryan Poole, 21, and Jesse Contreras, 19, along with Chugiak’s Joseph Stanford, 20, and Anchorage’s Alexander Metzger, 19.

Police were called on March 20 and contacted the victim, who told them she asked Metzger to help her find a place to stay on March 16. Metzger and Poole allegedly picked the girl up and brought her to the apartment, where they met Contreras.

That night, the victim smoked marijuana with the three men, who she said forced her to also drink alcohol. She was then allegedly physically and sexually assaulted by the three men. The next day, the three were joined by Stanford, police say, who also allegedly abused the woman.

Police say she was able to leave after calling a friend to pick her up March 18.

Poole is charged with six counts of first-degree sexual assault, one count of kidnapping and seven counts of furnishing or delivery of alcohol to a minor. Contreras has been charged with six counts of first-degree sexual assault, one count of kidnapping and one count of third-degree assault. Metzger has been charged with seven counts of first-degree sexual assault, one count of kidnapping and one count of third-degree assaut. Stanford has been charged with one count of first-degree sexual assault and one count of attempted first-degree sexual assault.

Police are asking anyone with information about the alleged perpetrators to call detective Jade Baker at 786-8900 or (to remain anonymous) Crime Stoppers at 561-STOP (7867).
