Three girls and two boys will represent Chugiak High School at the Boys and Girls State program to be held the 2nd week in June at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks.
A long awaited and much needed service was made available to the residents of the Greater Chugiak Area with the opening of the Eagle River Branch of the First National Bank of Anchorage this week.
The Eklutna Village Council at their Monday meeting resolved to take legal action to hold up the construction of the extension of the Anchorage to Fairbanks highway from Peters Creek to Eklutna until the settlement of the Native Land Claims.
A spokesman for the Chugiak Security Patrol stated that sometime after the school dance, vandals had plastered the outside of the building with approximately 60 dozen eggs. Also, the grounds were littered with eggshells and egg cartons.
The four youths who last week agreed to work at clean up at the Chugiak High School rather than be charged with vandalism have apparently reneged on the agreement.
