Girl Scout works to fight cancer

Cheyenne Young, who began sixth grade at Middle Lake Middle School this fall, worked to achieve her Girl Scout Bronze Award the weekend of Aug. 10-11 during the Eagle River chapter of the American Cancer Society’s ‘Relay for Life’ event by selling her hand-made duct tape hair ties, ribbons and hair accessories. During the two-day event, Cheyenne raised more than $200 for cancer research and awareness.
