Dimond ended both the Eagle River girls and Chugiak boys basketball seasons in the opening round of the Cook Inlet Conference tournament Wednesday, Feb. 29 at West. The Lynx cruised to an 89-15 victory in the girls’ game and beat Chugiak’s boys 51-34.
Chugiak’s girls basketball moved into third place in the Cook Inlet Conference with a 53-46 win over East on Wednesday, Feb. 22. With the victory, the Mustangs improved to 8-5 in the conference heading into their final regular season game Friday, Feb. 24 at Bartlett at 6 p.m.
Chugiak’s girls got back on the winning track with a pair of Cook Inlet Conference wins last week.
