The Mustang Hockey Association’s PeeWee C team won the state championship with a convincing 7-1 victory over the tournament host South Anchorage Mighty Moose on March 18 at the Subway Sports Centre in Anchorage.
Chugiak’s Tim Sorensen won the boys’ 3,200-meter run in 10 minutes, 30 seconds at “The Mini” — the season’s first official meet — March 23-24 at The Dome. Sorensen also placed second in the 1,600, finishing just 0.16 seconds behind Max Romey of Service.
