As of July 1, four Chinooks were among the top Alaska Baseball League players through 15 games. Through June, Univesity of North Dakota slugger Kris Kwak was leading the league with four home runs in 53 at bats.

The Post 20 Twins swept the Eagle River Wolves on Saturday in a doubleheader at Coral Seymour Memorial Park, winning the first league game 14-6, and taking the second, non-league game, with a score of 8-2.
After seeing a five-run lead disappear in the top of the seventh, Eagle River remained composed and scored a run in the bottom of the inning to earn a 6-5 win over rival Chugiak Post 33 in a seven-inning American Legion game Monday, July 2 at Loretta French Park.

Eagle River American Legion (6-6 overall) went 1-3 during the three-day Midnight Sun Tournament in Fairbanks on June 22-24.

The Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks earned their first home Alaska Baseball League win 12-10 over the Peninsula Oilers on Friday, June 22 at Loretta French Park.

Two of the six Chugiak Soccer Club teams that competed in the Alaska Airlines Cup soccer tournament May 31 through June 3 claimed championship trophies.
Eagle River’s Levi Younger clocked a time of 3 hours, 8 minutes, 54 seconds to place 23rd overall in the Mayor’s Marathon on Saturday, June 23 in Anchorage. Younger was just 3:24 faster than Chugiak’s Sergei Zelenkov, who was 26th.
