John Lerch, of Eagle River, graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and was commissioned as a second lieutenant on May 23, 2012. He will be stationed at Vance AFB in Enid, Okla., and will attend pilot training this fall. He is a 2008 graduate of Chugiak High School and the son of John and Lenette Lerch of Eagle River.
