On a night dedicated to thinking pink, the Eagle River volleyball team was feeling blue after losing a heartbreaking five-set match (19-25, 25-20, 18-25, 25-20, 17-15) to the East Thunderbirds Tuesday night at Eagle River High.

When East Anchorage ended Eagle River’s flag football season with a 13-0 win Tuesday, Oct. 11 in the first round of the Cook Inlet Conference playoffs, Wolves head Coach Matt Turner had nothing but positive words for his girls.
The state playoffs will feature three games today at Huffer Stadium in Chugiak, beginning with Nikiski vs Barrow at Noon.
