	Geoffrey Woods Eagle River’s Geoffrey Woods, 15, won the U.S. Western Region Irish Dance competition for boys age 15 in Bellevue, Wash., on Saturday, Nov. 17. He qualified for both the North American and World Irish Dance Championships. Woods will also represent Alaska and the U.S. at the World Championships in Boston the last week of March, 2013. Woods, a sophomore at Chugiak High, is in his eighth year with the Irish Dance Academy of Alaska under the direction of Noreen Wescott. The Western Region is comprised of dancers from Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Colorado, Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico. Woods is the son of Nathan and Sandra Woods of Eagle River.	November Issue 5 2012
	Crayton, Lochner win pageant titles Lillian Crayton, an 18-year-old freshman at the University of Alaska Anchorage, was named the 2013 “Miss Chugiak-Eagle River” on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Mirror Lake Middle School auditorium. Crayton performed a piano solo of Johann Pachelbel’s “Canon in D” for the talent portion of her performance.	November Issue 4 2012
