Longtime Alaskan Resident, Mr. Richard “Dick” Willson, 88, passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2014. A celebration of life was held on July 26 at the Iditapark in Wasilla.
Longtime Alaskan, James (Jim) P. Krafft, 64, passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2014 at Morton General Hospital, Morton, Wash. A celebration of his life will be held in Alaska at a later date.
Nitza Delgado Hollinger, 49, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 peacefully at her home in Nikiski, with her husband, two boys and sister by her side.
Kyle Wesley Klepinger, aged 44, of Soldotna passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. The funeral service was held on June 21 in the Soldotna High School Auditorium. A Celebration of Life followed the service.
Eagle River resident, Robert Zachary Firlan, 27, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Anchorage from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Funeral services were held May 10, 2014 at the Dimond Boulevard Baptist Church in Anchorage, followed by a celebration of life at the VFW Post in Eagle River. Burial will be at a later date at the Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va.
Lynn Alin Bradfield, 54, of Eagle River, passed away at Providence Alaska Medical Center on April 29, 2014 due to cancer. A memorial service will be held at a later date, for which all friends and family will be notified. Lynn’s cremated remains will be scattered at two of his favorite fishing spots, Jim Creek as well as Deep Creek in Ninilchik.
Velma Grace Coleman, 83, passed away on April 9, 2014, at Prestige Care in Anchorage. Service was on April 14, 2014, at Eagle River Grace Brethren Church. Grady J. Pennell III and Chaplain Keith Olson of Prestige Care officiated.
Sister Camilla (Johanna) Menting died April 3, 2014, at the age of 85. A memorial Mass was held Friday April 11th at 9:00 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Eagle River, officiated by Archbishop Roger Schwietz.
Longtime Eagle River resident Mary Sundt, 79, lost her battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis on March 25th, 2014. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by loving friends and family. Per her wishes her ashes will be scattered on the property where she lived for the past 52 years, alongside the ashes of her husband.
Carol Louise Jones, Alaskan pioneer and homesteader, passed away of heart failure April 1, 2014, at Matsu Regional Medical Center. She was 82. A service was held on April 7 at Kehl’s Palmer Mortuary, followed by a graveside service at Ft. Richardson National Cemetery on April 8.
