A number of new businesses will be opening soon at the Eagle River Shopping Center. Already open is Ruth’s Beauty Shop, located in the rear of the space next to Alaska Cleaners. On April 2, the front part of that space will be occupied by the Chugiak Barber Shop.
Efforts to obtain a loan to finance the purchase and repair of the Broadwater building in Eagle River to be utilized as a community center are still underway, according to a spokesman for the Greater Anchorage Area Borough administration.
