Hockey round-up

Chugiak 5, Bartlett 2

Josiah Steff, Kris Tomazevic, Hunter Hanson, Josh Smith and Connor Hetzel each notched goals in Chugiak’s 5-2 CIC win over Bartlett on Nov. 29 at the McDonald Center in Eagle River. Matt Bennett made 14 saves to earn the win.

Chugiak 2, West 0

Joey Lindquist posted a 23-save shutout while Ted Walters and Kris Tomazevic scored goals to give Chugiak a 2-0 win over West on Nov. 22 at the McDonald Center in Eagle River.

Hunter Hanson assisted on Walters’ second-period goal. Tomazevic added a power-play goal late in the third period with Josh Smith assisting on the play.

Dimond 7, Eagle River 0

Cook Inlet Conference foe Dimond blanked Eagle River hockey 7-0 on Nov. 22 at the Mac. Lane Bauer and Joel Tomuro paced the Lynx with two goals apiece.

Wolves’ netminder Andrew Shortridge stopped 42 of 49 shots faced.

Girls

Dimond-West 2, CER 1

Two second-period goals were all Dimond-West needed to down CER 2-1 on Nov. 22 at the Mac.

Holly Linder scored CER’s lone goal.

CER goalie Nicole Mrugala stopped 23 of 25 shots.

CER 3, Service-East 2

Holly Linder’s third period goal lifted Chugiak-Eagle River girls hockey to a 3-2 win over Service-East on Nov. 21 at the Mac. Autumn Sperry had the assist on Linder’s game-winning goal.

C-ER got second-period goals from Hannah Blizzard and Bre Bhangu.
