Michaela Marie Hall Richard
Eagle River’s Michaela Marie Hall Richard died Feb. 9, 2012. She was 47.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Lion's Club in Eagle River at 2 p.m.
She was born in Alaska on Dec. 22, 1964 and graduated from Lebanon Union High School in Lebanon, Ore., in 1983. She returned to Alaska in the mid-1980s, where her daughters Jessica and Kaela were born.
“Michaela made many friends everywhere she went throughout her life, including her long career as a business development representative for a local title company,” her family said.
“She loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved going to the ocean at Homer and Seward. She was always ‘following the sun,’ and especially enjoyed her recent trips to Hawaii. She was considered the ‘coordinator’ for family and friends as she was always making sure everyone knew when and where to gather. She was also a great mystery solver and enjoyed watching the unsolved mystery shows. Michaela was a friend to all. She listened to and helped everyone she could. Her heart was big enough for all; her heart and friendship knew no boundaries. Her love was unconditional.
“She will be remembered as a loving mother, caring daughter, and best friend to so many.”
She is survived by her parents, Mike and Rae Hall of Chugiak; husband, Robert Richard II of Eagle River; daughters, Jessica and Kaela Lashbrook of Eagle River; sisters and brothers-in-law Virginia Rae Schreck (her twin) and husband Thomas of Safford, Ariz., Sharon Minsch and husband Tim of Homer, Laura Hamilton and Tom Merrill of Chugiak and Patricia Singleton of Westport, Wash.; brothers, Michael Hall of Chugiak and Connor Hall of Anchorage; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends throughout Alaska and the nation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to account #523012 at Credit Union 1 (any branch) in memory of Michaela Hall Richard.
