Chugiak’s Tommy Frazier, 17, earned his Eagle Scout award on Oct. 13, 2011. Frazier, a senior at Chugiak High, has been in scouting since the first grade, and is a member if Boy Scout Troop 28. He is the son of Thomas and Carmen Frazier of Chugiak.
Frazier’s Eagle Project consisted of painting a building at his church.
He has spent many days and nights in the outdoors while scouting, but his favorite was when he spent seven days on a deserted island if the Florida Keys.
For the last three years, Frazier has worked as a counselor at Boy Scout Camp Gorsuch.
Upon graduation from high school, he plans to enlist in the United States Marine Corps.
Frazier would like to thank all the scout leaders, adult volunteers, fellow scouts and others who have had a part of this award.
