Brandon James Haynen

Former Peters Creek resident Brandon James Haynen, of Anchorage, died on Dec. 16, 2011 in Anchorage. He was 24.

Haynen was born on June 9, 1987 in Vancouver, Wash. to Paula Morris and William James Haynen. Shortly after, he moved to Peters Creek.

Brandon enjoyed reading, especially books by Stepen King, Dean Koontz and the “Harry Potter” series. He enjoyed working outdoors and working out. He joined the Army National Guard in 2005.

“Brandon loved being a father to his young son and was a wonderful family man,” his family said. “Brandon was deeply loved and will always be remembered in our hearts forever and eternally. He will be forever missed, loved and remembered for all the good he had and the huge heart he carried. It was as if he were this huge teddy bear…”

He is survived by his wife, Jessica Evens; son, Bretton Haynen; mother, Paula Morris; father, William Haynen; twin sister, Brianna Atwater and sister, Nicholl Juanillo; grandmother, Diane Sholes; and numerous cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Douglas Morris.

Funeral services were held on Jan. 4 in Anchorage.
