Local House and Senate Republicans swept elections held Nov. 2, with Anna Faiclough, Bill Stoltze, Nancy Dahlstron and Mike Hawker winning seats in the State House and Charlie Huggins and Con Bunde earning State Senate seats. In the governor’s race, former Wasilla mayor Sarah Palin became the state’s first female governor and Don Young held onto his U.S. House of Representative seat.
