Being Thankful for God’s People

I express my profound appreciation to Love in the Name of Christ of Eagle River for their work and outstanding service to the community. They have been a tremendous asset to the State of Alaska. Love INC has displayed love, kindness, and friendship in helping those that are in need. I am proud of the churches that have supported and committed themselves to the cause of Love INC I feel that the people of this community, the city of Anchorage, and the state of Alaska are very proud to know that Love INC continues to meet their needs according to our riches in glory, Jesus Christ.

God has brought us from a long way. Of all the major disasters that have occurred in the United States and around the world, God’s protection has been with the people of the State of Alaska. God has blessed us and blessed us indeed and enlarged our course that his hands would be with us and that he has kept us from evil so that we would not be grieved. As God says in Philippians 4:19, “and my God shall supply all of your needs according to his riches in glory, Jesus Christ.” So what God is telling us is that he knows what we need -- All we have to do is ask him in the name of Jesus Christ.

I also love what David said in Psalm 37:25, I have been young but now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread.” I will continue to pray every night for all the pastors, their families, and congregations that God continues to meet their needs. As I look back over the last 26 years and see what God has done for our church and its congregation, what a blessing He has bestowed upon us and this community, what an awesome GOD!

Eagle River Missionary Baptist church has had great success in doing God’s will. In closing, I want to thank God for his grace, mercy and truth. This column is the opinion of Rev. Dr. William Greene, Pastor at Eagle River Missionary Baptist Church.
