GO GREEN: CROCHETING WITH PLARN

Are you drowning in those grocery store plastic bags? Join resident volunteer Jaydee Hernandez and naturalist Ute Olsson to learn how to cut them into strips of “plarn” (plastic yarn) and crochet sturdy re-usable shopping bags, purses or clutches. Participants need to know crochet basics. Bring plastic bags and crochet hook. Limited to 15 participants (ages 12 and up) who register at 694-2108. Free program; $5 parking for non-members.
