Eagle River resident Kaylene Johnson writes most often about Alaska and the people who live here. Her latest book, Canyons and Ice: The Wilderness Travels of Dick Griffith, chronicles the life of the Alaska legend who has possibly traveled farther on foot than any person in the world. Johnson’s publications include her own memoir of childrearing adventures as well as her book about Sarah Palin, hockey mom. She will speak at the monthly luncheon for Alaska Professional Communicators. The public is invited.
