Frances Rebischke

Frances (Frankie) B. Rebischke, 81, died at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage Nov. 22, 2012.

A Rosary was held at St. Andrew Church in Eagle River Nov. 29 with a public visitation afterward. Burial services will be held at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery in the spring of 2013.

Frankie was born in Roulette, N.D. on July 12, 1931 to Joseph and Mary Tetrault. She graduated and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Mercy Hospital in Williston, N.D. She moved to Eagle River on June 19, 1961 and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Alaska Psychiatric Institute and retired with the State of Alaska in 1984.

Frankie was a member of the Ladies Group at St. Andrew Church. Some of her hobbies included knitting sweaters, knitting washcloths, reading cookbooks and spending time with friends and family.

“Frankie was a very loving, kind, compassionate and giving lady and will be dearly missed,” her family wrote.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Sylvester (Sly) Rebischke; daughter Clarice A. Rebischke and her husband William A. Dix, of Eagle River; sisters, Shirley Anderson of Minot, N.D., and Joan Thompson of Roulette, N.D.; sisters-in-law Leona Tetrault of Roulette, N.D., Rosella Sonsteby of Anoka, Minn., Ruth Rebischke of Spring Valley, Wisc., Margie Rebischke of Rosemont, Minn., and Caroline Rebischke of Arizona; brothers-in-law Chuck Bisbee of Wolf Point, Mont., Armand Barasa of Anahein, Calif., and Ray Schwartz of Los Angeles, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Sylvester A. (Tuffy) Rebischke; her parents; sisters and brothers and many sisters- and brothers-in-law.
