Chugiak picked up an 8-5 Cook Inlet Conference win Tuesday, Dec. 4 at Ben Boeke.

 

Eagle River 4, East 3 (OT)

Blake Halfpenny scored in overtime to life Eagle River to a comeback win over East on Dec. 4 at the McDonald Center. Brett Wood had two goals for the Wolves, who tied things on a Carter Jesiel tally with 10:16 left in the third period.

 

East 4, Chugiak 2

William Casey and Ted Walters scored goals in Chugiak’s 4-2 loss to East on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Ben Boeke Ice Arena.

Sam Stinson led the T-Birds with a hat trick.

 

South 5, Eagle River 2

Carter Jesiel and Hunter Gally scored goals for Eagle River in its 5-2 loss to South on Nov. 29 at Ben Boeke.

Justin Lopez stopped 26 shots for the Wolves.

 

GIRLS

Fairbanks 5, CER 1

Holly Linder scored Chugiak-Eagle River’s lone goal in a 5-1 loss to Fairbanks on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Mac.

Goaltender Arika Mercer made 27 saves for CER.

CER played Dimond-West on Wednesday, Dec. 5, but a score was not available when the Star went to press.
