David John Demboski, 66

David John Demboski died Nov. 23, 2013, at his winter home in Kingman, Ariz. He was 66.

Demboski was born Oct. 11, 1947, in Fon du Lac, Wis. In 1982, Demboski followed his dream to live, hunt and raise his family in Alaska. Demboski and his wife, Mary, raised their son, Ben, in Chugiak.

Living the Alaskan dream included building a cabin in Willow, hunting, fishing, spending time with his grandchildren, Kennedy and Riley, and enjoying the adventures of retirement with Mary.

After 20 years of service, Demboski retired from Anchorage Water and Wastewater Utility. He was a longtime member of the Eagle River Elks Lodge 2682.

He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 43 years, Mary Demboski, of Willow; son and daughter-in-law, Benjamen and Amy Demboski, of Chugiak; grandchildren, Kennedy and Riley Demboski, of Chugiak; brother, Tom Demboski, of St. Germain, Wis., as well as numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews in Wisconsin.

Demboski was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Bernette Demboski, as well as his older brother, Roger Demboski.

Mary Demboski and her family would like to thank all their friends and family for the cards, calls and wishes of comfort.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Eagle River Elks Lodge, 17111 N. Eagle River Loop Road, at 2 p.m.
