Pucksters suffer losses before break

Chugiak and Eagle River’s hockey teams suffered losses prior to the Thanksgiving break.

West High scored with under two minutes in regulation to edge Chugiak 2-1 on Monday, Nov. 25 at McDonald Center.

Taylor Garner scored for the Mustangs with Adam Groendyke and Kris Tomazevic getting the helpers.

The following night, South cruised to a 12-2 win over Eagle River at the Mac. Kory Cain and Blake Halfpenny scored for the Wolves.

Chugiak was in action Tuesday, Dec. 3 and Eagle River played the following day, but scores were not available when the Star went to press.
