During a gathering of the Memory Retrievers group that periodically edits the Down Memory Lane column, talk of old time homemade noodles took place. Kathy Jones gave us this recipe from memory that her favorite aunt used many years ago. Granted, it takes more time than opening a bag of store-bought pasta, but these noodles are a hundred times more flavorful and filling than those purchased at the store.
1 cup flour
Pinch of salt
Enough water to fill half an egg shell
Mix everything together to make dough. Roll dough out flat and cut into strips. Leave to dry on kitchen counter all day. Boil in water until cooked through and combine with beef, chicken or any meat for a delicious dinner dish.
