Road closures set for Bear Paw
Traffic patterns in downtown Eagle River from July 13-15 will change due to the Bear Paw festival.
Beginning at 10 a.m. July 13, Business Boulevard will be closed between Mat-Valley Credit Union and Regency Drive. The road will reopen at 6 p.m. July 15 at the conclusion of the festival. Local access to Timber Ridge will be available for residents. Vetted access to Credit Union 1 will be available Friday, July 13 only. Traffic will be rerouted onto Regency Drive.
On July 14, the Old Glenn Highway between Eagle River Loop and Eagle River Road will be closed from 10:25 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. to accommodate the 5K race and Grand Parade. Also, Centerfield Drive will be closed from 8 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.; Business Boulevard will be closed from 10:25 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. and Monte Road and Old Eagle River Road will have restricted access from 8 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.

On Friday after the closure, People Mover buses will pick up and drop off People Mover Transit passengers at the corner of Regency Drive and Business Boulevard. People Mover users parked inside the lot after the road closure will be escorted safely out of the festival area and through the barriers.
Festival shuttle Saturday
Forsythe Transportation will provide free Bear Paw Shuttle service within downtown Eagle River on Saturday July 14. Festival-goers may park their car at VFW Post 9785 at the south end of town or at the Eagle River Fred Meyer at the north end of town anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday only.
Between 10:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Saturday, all access into the Festival area will be restricted for the Bear Paw Classic 5-K Run and the Bear Paw Grand Parade. Shuttle service will resume following the parade.
