Hupe honored

Lions International recognizes outstanding individuals by bestowing on them an award that is named for its founder, Melvin Jones. This Fellowship Award (LCIF) is the highest form of recognition and embodies humanitarian ideas consistent with the nature and purpose of Lionism. The recipient of this award becomes a model because of the exemplary service to his club and the community for which it serves.

Lion Tracey Hupe was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship on June 6th at the Lions annual Installation dinner held at the Eagle River Lions Club. Tracey volunteers numerous hours to help out her community and is dedicated to her Lions Club, as well as, to the children in our community. She is there to lend a hand where needed and goes far above her job to help those in need in our local area. This past year she held many music fests for the teens at the Boys and Girls Club, donating funds raised to the Eagle River Food Banks. Tracey makes sure the community is clean by sending volunteers out to do city clean up; she works on procuring funds and gifts for the annual scholarship dinner and chairs our Community Easter Egg Hunt, along with participating in many other projects. Congratulations to Tracey Hupe for all her hard work, volunteering and becoming a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship.
