Longtime Alaskan Resident, Mr. Richard “Dick” Willson, 88, passed away peacefully at home on July 16, 2014.

A celebration of life was held on July 26 at the Iditapark in Wasilla.

Dick was born on July 10, 1926, in Dallas, Ore,m and moved to Alaska in 1956. He received his master’s degree in education administration, and after working many years in education, he retired from the Anchorage School District.

His family said, “Dick was kind, generous, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and partner to his mate Patsy Larrimore. He served his community by working tirelessly to assist people looking to recover from alcoholism. He also put a lot of time and effort in History search.

Arrangements were by Valley Funeral Home, Wasilla Chapel.
