Uninvited guests enter abandoned home

Anchorage police said that someone entered an abandoned residence on Eleonora Street on May 29. The suspects — none were located by officers — forced open the front door, police spokesman Lt. DUI arrests

Anchorage police said they arrested Savanna Rabon, 18, of Eagle River for driving under the influence at the Providence Alaska Medical Center complex on the Old Glenn Highway in Eagle River after another driver called in a possibly drunk or impaired driver just before 10:30 p.m. on June 2.

Rabon performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was placed in a patrol car after being arrested, according to a report summary provided by police spokesman Lt. Dave Parker. Once inside the car, the report continued, Rabon became agitated and slammed her head against the car’s divider. Medics bandaged the wound on her forehead, the report said. Rabon several times again tried to hurt herself before being placed in full restraints, the report said. Rabon’s estimated blood-alcohol level was allegedly nearly three times the legal limit. She was lodged at Anchorage Jail — no bail.
