Chinooks split with Panners
The Chugiak-Eagle River Chinooks split a pair of games against the Alaska Goldpanners on Wednesday, June 27, in Fairbanks.
The Chinooks won the opener, 7-2, before falling in the nightcap, 9-2. What had been a scheduled four-game series with the Panners was shortened to three because of wet conditions.
Chugiak-Eagle River is 6-4, one game behind the Peninsula Oilers in the ABL standings, heading into tonight's 7 p.m. game against the Mat-Su Miners at Loretta French Park in Chugiak.
