Kyle Wesley Klepinger, aged 44, of Soldotna passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014.

The funeral service was held on June 21 in the Soldotna High School Auditorium. A Celebration of Life followed the service.

Kyle was born on March 31, 1970, in Springfield, Va., to Roger and Donna (Wilcox) Klepinger. The family moved to Alaska in May of 1975, settling in Anchorage, where Kyle graduated from Bartlett High School in 1988. He lived in Anchorage until 2004 and Eagle River until this year.

His interests included fishing, hunting, camping, riding snow machines and ATVs, playing with his children and his dogs, Jake and Griz, as well as grilling for family and friends.

His family wrote, “Kyle loved his family and friends. He was a generous and loyal father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He had a kind heart and beautiful smile. He took great pride in being a heavy equipment operator and worked all over the State of Alaska. He provided well for the needs of his family and was known to be a very generous person who helped many people in need. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.”

Kyle is survived by his wife, Christy; daughter, Jamie and son, Toby, all of Soldotna; parents, Roger and Donna of Sterling; brother, Kelly and wife, Myra of Huntington Beach, Calif.; brother, Craig and wife, Jane of Wethersfield, Conn.; parents-in-law, James and Nancy Powell; brother-in-law, Jessie and wife, Shannon Powell all of Clovis, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, donations should be made in Kyle’s name to the charity of choice.
