Hannah Marie Williamson died March 10, 2013. She was 16.

She was born Dec. 19, 1996, the fourth of five siblings born to Gregg and Heather Williamson.

Hannah was a straight A student who ranked sixth in her class at Eagle River High School (ERHS), was a starting member of the ERHS rifle team, a member of the ERHS JROTC drill team and a Non-commissioned Officer E-5 in the ERHS JROTC. She volunteered often at local events and hoped to attend the United States Air Force Military Academy.

“It is safe to say that Hannah will be missed and a cherished asset in the treasure trove of Williamson memories,” her family said.

She is survived by her father and mother; her four siblings, Kayla, Joshua, Lauren, and Clayton Williamson; her grandparents David and Jackie Williams and Howard and Judy Williamson; great grandmothers Evelyn Williams and Nelda Long all of Nacogdoches, Texas and a host of other loving family members.

Services were held at King’s Way Ministry Center in Eagle River on Sunday, March 17, with a celebration of life reception immediately following at ERHS. The officiants were Army Chaplain Bob Williams, assisted by Anchorage Police Chaplain Paul McGee Jr.

In lieu of flowers the family has set up a memorial for deserving ERHS JROTC students.
