Wolves, Mustangs bounced from boys CIC tourney

The Chugiak and Eagle River boys soccer teams each found themselves on the wrong end of lopsided shutouts in the opening round of the Cook Inlet Conference boys soccer tournament at South High on Thursday, May 17.

The seventh-seeded Mustangs fell 5-0 to No. 2 South, while No. 6 Eagle River dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 3 West.

South got a pair of goals from Nathan Chartier to led the Wolverines' win. West got goals from seven different players in its triumph.

The games ended the 2012 season for both Chugiak and Eagle River. The Wolves lose eight seniors from this year's squad; Chugiak loses 10.
