Police name suspect in April shooting
One man injured, one on the run after drug deal goes awry
Anchorage Police are looking for Daniel “Fat Dan” Rosendahl in connection with an April 24 shooting in the Eagle River Alaska Club Parking lot on Business Boulevard. According to APD spokeswoman Dani Myren, Rosendahl, 26, is a heavyset white male, about 5-feet-11 with short dark hair and green eyes.
Rosendahl allegedly shot a man following a botched marijuana transaction in the parking lot of the Homestead Lounge. According to police, the victim gave Rosendahl money for drugs but didn’t get anything in return. The angry buyer demanded his money back from the alleged dealer, a man he knew he only as “Fat Dan.” Instead of returning the money, Rosendahl allegedly punched the victim in the face several times. The brouhaha continued carried over into the Alaska Club parking lot, where Rosendahl allegedly shot the other man in the head. Police say several people witnessed the incident, which took place at around 8:30 p.m.
Following the gunfire, both men fled in separate vehicles. The victim went to a nearby residence to treat his wound, which was not considered life-threatening.
