Two DUI arrests occur at same time in same vehicle
Two Wasilla brothers were charged with felony driving under the influence after pulling into the Peters Creek Chevron and switching seats Nov. 8, according to Anchorage Police.
Officers responded to a report of a reckless driver around 3 p.m. and pulled over a vehicle driven by Shawn Lynn Jackson, 33, said APD spokesperson Dani Myren. A citizen recognized the passenger, Blair Allan Jackson, 35, as the driver of the vehicle prior to it stopping in the parking lot, she said.
Both men provided breath samples of 0.00 but failed the field sobriety test, Myren said. Both provided blood samples, she said.
The Jackson brothers were taken to Anchorage Jail. Shawn’s bail was set at $6,500 and Blair’s was $5,000.
Other DUI arrests
• Wasilla’s Del Leroy Clark, 41, was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a revoked license Nov. 8. Clark’s car was parked along the side the Glenn Highway near the North Eagle River exit when officers responded at 3:22 a.m., Myren said.
They detected signs of impairment, she said. Clark provided a breath sample of .146, Myren said. The legal limit is .08.
He was taken to Anchorage Jail with bail set at $3,000.
• Wasilla’s Eric Lee Guerrero, 29, was charged with driving under the influence after he was stopped for speeding and swerving Nov. 9 at 12:53 a.m. on the Glenn Highway. He provided a breath sample of .145, Myren said. Guerrero was taken to Anchorage Jail with bail set at $250.
Charges are merely accusations; defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
