More than books in that backpack

Anchorage police said they cited and released a 17-year-old student at Chugiak High School on Nov. 21 after a random vehicle search revealed he had brought marijuana, two pipes, a scale, a BB gun and tobacco to school. The student was released to a parent.

 

Domestic assault reports

Anchorage police arrested a 36-year-old Eagle River man for felony domestic violence assault on Nov. 15 after a household member reported he had strangled and beat them.

Police arrested a 37-year-old Anchorage woman for assault on Nov. 16 after witnesses said she attacked a household member in Chugiak.

 

DUI arrests

Anchorage police said they arrested Jeremy Farnsworth, 30, for driving under the influence after being stopped for leaving the road near Business Boulevard and Centerfield Drive just before 1 a.m. on Nov. 17. Farnsworth’s breath alcohol-level was twice the legal limit. He was taken to Anchorage Jail on $500 bail.

 

Other DUI arrests, according to police:

Jessica Lashbrook, 24, of Eagle River after being pulled over for failure to stop on Business Boulevard just after 1 a.m. on Nov. 18. Lashbrook’s breath-alchohol level was over the legal limit. She was taken to Anchorage Jail on $250 bail.

 

Charges are merely accusations; defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty at trial or until a plea of guilty is accepted by the courts.
