Fried rice

Recipe from a cookbook put out by the Chugiak PTA when Chugiak School was the only school between Anchorage and Palmer

 

3 cups cooked rice

2 strips of bacon

3 eggs, beaten

1 ½ cups died meat (shrimp, pork, chicken or ham)

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 green onions

1 can bean sprouts

½ cup mushrooms

Salt and pepper

 

Fry bacon until slightly brown then remove from pan. Fry beat eggs then remove from pan. Add cooked rice. Fry five minutes. Add bacon, egg and other ingredients. Mix and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
