Mom’s baked salmon

Fry 3 large onions in ¾ cup oil or bacon grease. Fry until clear, not brown.

3 cans tomato sauce

1 large can tomato

1/3 can tomato sauce of vinegar

1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons cinnamon

¾ teaspoon nutmeg

¾ teaspoon Allspice

¼ teaspoon cloves

¼ teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

 

Place a large piece of salmon in large pan. Pour tomato mixture over salmon. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Do not cover. Baste every 15 minutes.
