Sister Camilla (Johanna) Menting died April 3, 2014, at the age of 85.

A memorial Mass was held Friday April 11th at 9:00 am at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Eagle River, officiated by Archbishop Roger Schwietz.

Sister Camill was born July 30, 1928 in Phlox, Wis., to Frank and Cecilia Menting.

She served the parish of St. Andrew in Eagle River beginning in 1985. She retired in August of 2010 and returned to her motherhouse in Wisconsin.

Her family said, “She was the calm, steady hand whose attention to detail touched nearly every aspect of parish life.”

Sister Camilla was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Robert and Harold; and her sisters, Eleanor, Mary Anne and Caroline.

She is survived by siblings, Roman (Eileen), Matt (Evelyn), Al (Montel), Sister Mary Anthony, and Margaret. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and the School Sisters of St. Francis with whom she shared life for 69 years.
