Throughout her competition years she held several titles including Miss Anchorage and Miss Alaska 1992. After the completion of her year of service as Miss Alaska, she continued to volunteer with the program as producer, mentor, board member, and judge.

Outside of teaching and pageants, Keri enjoyed the adventure of camping, fishing, hunting, scuba diving and riding her motorcycle and ATVs. She was an Alaska state remote control car racing titleholder in her late teens. Additionally, Keri was a lifelong member of the First Church of God in Anchorage, where her love for music and singing began. She was also a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma, Nu Chapter, teachers’ society.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Chugiak High School Auditorium, with Pastor Steven Myers officiating. A potluck reception will follow the service in the high school cafeteria.
