Wood the pick for District 26

Wednesday, August 22, 2012 - 11:39

For the past 19 years I’ve known Larry Wood as a man who has always given generously and tirelessly to those in need. I’ve known him as a loving, caring man who does not judge others, and is quick to forgive when he has been maligned or mistreated. However, since Larry threw his hat into the ring for Alaska State House of Representatives for District 26 I’ve seen another side of this savvy, astute man. Larry knows his business! From Alaska’s history and laws to the oil business, tax issues, education, health care, and fiscal planning; he’s got it covered. He serves on the boards of the Eagle River Chamber of Commerce and the Chugiak-Eagle River Senior Center and is involved in several other volunteer leadership capacities. “Commitment” could be his middle name.

Larry’s new role has not overshadowed the ethical, fair, dependable person I’ve come to respect and appreciate for so many years. His positive attitude, integrity and uncompromising principles will serve us all well when we elect him as our representative on Aug. 28. Larry Wood is our most qualified, ethical and respectable candidate. Your vote for Larry Wood for Alaska State House District 26 is a vote for the best of Eagle River.
